What does Millbank FX actually do?

Millbank FX is a specialist foreign exchange provider supporting businesses that move money globally.

We work with hundreds of clients across 15+ countries, helping international businesses protect profit margins, pay overseas suppliers, manage currency risk and move funds internationally with speed, precision and confidence.

In simple terms — when businesses operate internationally, we help them manage the financial complexity that comes with it.

Do I need financial services or FX experience?

No. One of the biggest misconceptions about financial services is that you need prior industry experience to succeed.

The reality? Everyone starts somewhere.

At Millbank, our team comes from a wide range of industries and backgrounds. What matters most is commercial ability, work ethic, curiosity, resilience and the willingness to learn. We can teach FX and financial markets. We look for people with the right mindset and ambition.

What is the role of a Portfolio Manager?

The Portfolio Manager role is a combination of business development, relationship management and commercial problem solving. Initially, the focus is heavily weighted towards outbound sales as you build your client portfolio from scratch.

Over time, you will grow and manage your own account base — developing long-term relationships with international businesses.

This isn't a transactional, scripted sales role. You'll be speaking with decision-makers at internationally active companies, having commercial conversations about protecting margins, international payments and currency strategy. Think of it as building your own portfolio inside the business.

What training and support will I receive?

We invest heavily in training and development. Every new joiner follows a structured 90-day onboarding and training programme, supported by our online learning platform, practical coaching and hands-on development.

You will work directly with Millbank's leadership team — all of whom have deep experience in financial markets and building successful commercial careers. You'll receive support on product knowledge, market understanding, sales strategy, commercial conversations and day-to-day execution.

Our expectation is high, but so is the support available to help you succeed.
